Takaoka cast-iron teapot with a porcelain top. The body is made using the lost-wax casting method. The inside is coated with silicon, which is rust-resistant. The outside is coated in beautiful white or black urushi lacquer to give the pot a slightly stone-like appearance.
It can withstand direct heat, provided a weak enough level such as to keep hot water warm. A metal-mesh strainer is included to hold and clean tea leaves more easily.
