Created by Master Ceramist, Mr. Hideki Yamamoto. He was born in Saga Prefecture, and graduated from the Ceramics Industry Course in 1983. In 1995, he established his own kiln in Takeo City, Kyushu Prefecture, Japan. His signature style brings back the beautiful traditional style crafts of old Japanese ceramics. As each piece is glazed and painted differently, the appearance and personality may differ from piece to piece, despite being the same model.
HAKEME Square Plate is made with curved corners and edges so that you can use it as a sandwich plate or salad plate without worry. Its bottom is unglazed, but still slightly smooth to the touch. It may be better to avoid placing it on surfaces that can scratch easily. Its top is painted in a misty/paintbrush-like design and has a cracked glaze top, but is smooth to the touch.
