A samurai-helmet shaped cast-iron teapot designed by Yukio Hashimoto. His unique designs elevate the spirit of the tea ceremony into modern form. It is made using the lost-wax casting method. The inside is coated with silicon, which is not only rust-resistant but also absorbs any iron particles. The outside is coated in beautiful black urushi lacquer to give the teapot an almost stone-like appearance.
It can withstand direct heat, provided a weak enough level such as to keep hot water warm. You can also use it for holding liquor. A metal-mesh strainer is included to help hold and clean tea leaves more easily.
