Created by Master Ceramist, Mr. Hideki Yamamoto. He was born in Saga Prefecture, and graduated from the Ceramics Industry Course in 1983. In 1995, he established his own kiln in Takeo City, Kyushu Prefecture, Japan. His signature style brings back the beautiful traditional style crafts of old Japanese ceramics. As each piece is glazed and painted differently, the appearance and personality may differ from piece to piece, despite being the same model.
TAWAMI Sauce Plate is stabilized on three legs, with the bottom parts unglazed, but smooth to the touch. The bottom side of the Sauce Plate has a dark, rusty coloration, and the top has a misty/paintbrush-like design with cracked glaze, though smooth to the touch. Although circular, two sides are slightly more curved than the opposite sides.
